The stress-free curing of an adhesive is a decisive factor in how well and how long a bond lasts. The use of tubular lamps in showcase construction has proved its worth for many years. They do not develop any harmful heat and can be positioned directly on the glass. While an edge is hardening, the next work steps can be prepared. To ensure the quality of the bonds, the lamp should be replaced after approx. 1000 hours. After this the UV output is no longer sufficient. As this is not visually detectable, working times should be documented separately.
